Hello, thanks for commenting on my blog. Nice to meet you! 😊
I am loving the Buddhist walk for peace – – including that they didn’t wait for better weather but launched out in October! As the Talmud says, do it now.
Also, this now:
"If there are viewers of ours who are lonely who are suffering, what would your message to them be?" [interviewer] Persing asked.
Venerable leader of the walk replied: "Get out a piece of paper and write down, ‘today is going to be my peaceful day.’ Write it down with the hand and mind together, it’s very simple but very powerful."
I just watched the Olympics Opening Ceremonies, and teared up at the part about the future and the solar system. Our future is not one I’ll be seeing very much longer, which makes me sad. Ok I’ll imagine several years, but we never know how many more days we have.
Oh my, what a wonderful critter post. I love all the critter figurines. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great weekend. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment!
I can't tell you how companionable and interesting and hopeful and uplifting I find your posts everyday! Thank you so much for your comments and tangible support at this challenging time in my life
I look out my window and see the sun shining on a bird and think about how that same Sun is shining on you in Hawaii. You’re just over the horizon and down the way, a friendly sister With such a beautiful cat!
OK, my bad, I didn't look up the artists before posting their beaautiful works. They are Ukranian, and were involved in a movie produced after Russia invaded, "Porcelain Wars." It's available but only by renting it, which I haven't done yet. However, here's a rather old post of more of their work, and interviews - in case anyone is interested: https://www.veniceclayartists.com/ukrainian-painted-porcelain-sculptures/
There's a FaceBook page of the artists: https://www.facebook.com/AnyaSlava/photos But it hasn't been updated for over a year. However, you can see more of their darling critters there!

PS. The walk leader’s name is Bhikkhu Paññakāra.
DeleteI realize these critters are forms which are made and then the clay slip is poured into them...but the glazing is superb!
ReplyDeleteI would love to own one - now which one?
DeleteOh, my! Those ceramic critter's are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI agree completely!
DeleteI love your menagerie!
ReplyDeleteYes, just the right word!

ReplyDeleteAre those creatures your art work?
No, and I don’t know anything about the artists, whose names are at the top.
DeleteWonderful little critters! I like the Talmud quote; words to live in these tough times.

DeleteThey are wonderful little works of art. I'm belatedly finding an appreciation for ceramics.
