I'm featuring Cody. He is a sweet looking little guy. Do not try to take away any food items away from him, then you see his lion quality! And I sometimes got quite peeved with his yapping, which the family just ignores. I started yapping back one time, at the same high volume and pitch...so they noticed!
But finally I got some good photos of him.
Yes, he sits on a cushion on a stool at the table when the family is eating.
I remember a mural I saw once from Pompei which had a Pomeranian dog in it! Amazing! I’ve learned where Pomerania actually is as well…Poland/Germany area.
Sharing with Eileen’s Saturday’s Critters!

I have a replica of this little figure. So sweet! Thanks Jenny Mendez on FB.

I just looked at the weather as I head south again and had a change of plans. Good thing I’m retired and have an open schedule. The second day driving up was total rain, and the second day I would be driving home looked like it would start with snow changing to rain by the time I got on the 2 lane mountain highway. So I’m leaving a day earlier and will just deal with holiday traffic probably on Sunday. Then dry and cold for Mon. At least that’s the forecast for various cities I’ll be going through. In my lifetime, weather often arrives later rather than earlier than forecast!

As soon as I saw Cody, I pictured a happy dog that I wouldn't love. Apparently, I’ve come across similar dogs and have a negative reaction. There are dogs that I like though although I don’t want one. Have a good trip. Could you not stay longer rather than travel earlier?
ReplyDeleteI joked about staying a month at different son’s and grandchildren’s homes, just moving around and thus saving on rent! I don’t think I actually have enough who live independently to visit that way! Schedule for trip home is also looking at my not wanting to overstay my welcome. Cody is ok in small doses.
Delete...a fluffy little fellow!
ReplyDeleteHe is soft and cuddly to a certain extent.
DeleteThose dogs who never shut up. I'd leave a day early, too. oh,the weather, you say? Just kidding. It was a very good visit.
ReplyDeleteIt sure has been a good visit with these wonderful relatives. The girls have been home at the same time (2 are in college dorms) and it’s been so fun to see their interactions together.
DeleteI'm more of a cat person, too, so I probably would have been annoyed with the yapping. But it wasn't normal times and he probably had more to bark about than usual. Safe travels.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, when lots was happening and he wasn’t the center of attention, he demanded to be noticed!
DeleteOh, the pottery! Almost as beautiful as your family.
ReplyDeleteThe hotel Glen and I used to stay in in Mexico was owned by a Canadian woman who had a dog who looked almost exactly like Cody and that was the friendliest, sweetest dog you can imagine. He welcome guests from behind the desk and would go around and visit people sitting outside their rooms. He loved riding on the dive boats and was a joy to see, the wind streaming through all that soft fur. He died this year and his owner was absolutely bereft. I think a lot of people were. His name was Lahlo.
Be very careful driving home, Barbara!
What a happy story about Lahlo! I dare say Cody could have learned from him.
DeleteWhat a cute little granddog - and not spoiled at all, lol. I just love that your grands appreciate your pottery. You should be so proud!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks…I should have saved that header photo for when I blog with the rest of the give-away photos. But I’m a wee bit disorganized today.
Deletecody...what a sweet grand puppy, you captured all his "good" sides!! i lover your header picture, this is a great time to start sharing things, letting go and letting those beautiful girls pick out what they like and will enjoy!! i love animals, especially dogs but do not have one right now!! have a wonderful weekend!!
ReplyDeleteActually I told them all is to be left here…they can give things to their friends, I;m not taking any of it home with me.
