Update about blogCa

I-40 picked up the old Rte. 66 somewhere along the way, maybe Little Rock, maybe Oklahoma City. But it is the 100th anniversary of Rte 66 so I enjoyed thinking about my parents driving on part Of it in. St. Louis at least. Here we continued from Santa Rosita to Gallup NM, then left both highways to go north to CO.

A different sort of subject here

But with the recent war in Israel, perhaps a look back at some history of Jewish survival during Nazi years would be of interest to some.

Here's Ken Burns PBS show about Unitarians who helped Jews escape early in Nazi terrorism...and the many obstacles they faced. (79 minutes)

The Sharps' War

  1. ...most "religions" did little or nothing to help Jews, good for the Unitarians.

  3. I don’t feel like I can deal with it. I’m glad there are people who reach out to others, but the overwhelming apathy and even cruelty to people is heartbreaking.

And here we are with climate disasters causing more migration, and people understandably feeling like they can’t accept any more migrants, and therefore turning their backs on them, and letting them suffer and die. It’s horrible. The worst are the ambitious men who climb to power by spreading fear and hatred. It doesn’t end.

  4. It is such a tragedy. I don't know how people can fight so much.
That said, we were watching and hoping for resolution in your House. What ever happened to majority rules? Just et on with it! Sorry. Not my business, but I just cannot believe it!
