Who knew all this would happen afterwards! Flat Creek in November, 2024. Much changed by the force of the hurricane floods in Sept. 2024. The deck of the bridge is now under that pile of debris.

A friend who is also a potter
Sarah Vekasi has now opened her own pottery shop on Cherry St. It's a great little store, with just her various pottery liens.
Hello, Congrats to your friend. Sarah's pottery is pretty. I love all the blue pieces, my favorite color. Take care, have a great day and a happy weekend!
Barbara, That little pottery shop has some quality items on display...very nice! My mother was an artist who worked in many mediums, oil paint, watercolors, weaving, painted and fired tiles and even some pottery. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
I love Sarah's work...I remember when she first came into our community clay studio and learned how to make pots...then she started her own studio up the street from me (where I lived then) and we've stayed friends as she's developed several lines of stoneware, including place settings which she sometimes makes for orders. I wish her well in her new endeavor! Glad to hear about your Mother's talents.
Nice rundown for your friend, Sarah. Find me at Tom's. Google makes me be anonymous to comment. p.s. Blogger wants me to sign in and google thinks I'm already signed in. "Jim"
I love Sarah's pottery and it is a beautiful blue Barbara. SORRY comment is SO late however my daughter has had a bad car accident and I have had to fly to the Isle of Wight to help her and the family and will be here for a while still.
