I-40 picked up the old Rte. 66 somewhere along the way, maybe Little Rock, maybe Oklahoma City. But it is the 100th anniversary of Rte 66 so I enjoyed thinking about my parents driving on part Of it in. St. Louis at least. Here we continued from Santa Rosita to Gallup NM, then left both highways to go north to CO.

The Neuro-Treatment Center
This is a much bigger facility than I thought, overlooking the Veterans Cemetery. But I dare say people with brain injuries, severe mental illness, or dementia may not be looking out the windows.
Thanks for commenting! I tried moderating, thinking that would be a quicker way to check on comments, but actually it takes more time. So go ahead and talk amongst yourselves, and I'll check in when I can!!
Hello,
ReplyDeleteIt does look like a huge facility with a lot of windows. I like your header photo!
Have a happy day!
Thanks, and I also hope the patients have moments of appreciation of their views.

ReplyDelete...a grand building.
ReplyDeleteI think it was built more than 60 years ago.
DeletePoor folk. I hope they do look out and get moments of peace.
ReplyDeleteI agree. I think my mother's sense of herself depended upon her intellect, which sadly enough she lost with dementia.
DeleteA beautiful building in a lovely setting there. I hope people look out those windows.
ReplyDeleteIf the patients don't look out the windows, I'm sure the staff does, for a few moments anyway.
DeleteIt does look big.
ReplyDeleteIndeed it does.
