Update about blogCa

View from my tiny balcony, April 11, 2026. The steep slope my apartment building sits on reminds me that this is an ancient river valley, and perhaps where I sit once was the bank of a bigger Swannanoa River than the one of today.

The Neuro-Treatment Center

This is a much bigger facility than I thought, overlooking the Veterans Cemetery. But I dare say people with brain injuries, severe mental illness, or dementia may not be looking out the windows.

  1. Hello,
It does look like a huge facility with a lot of windows. I like your header photo!
    Have a happy day!

    1. Thanks, and I also hope the patients have moments of appreciation of their views.

    1. I agree. I think my mother's sense of herself depended upon her intellect, which sadly enough she lost with dementia.

    1. If the patients don't look out the windows, I'm sure the staff does, for a few moments anyway.
