Update about blogCa

Who knew all this would happen afterwards! Flat Creek in November, 2024. Much changed by the force of the hurricane floods in Sept. 2024. The deck of the bridge is now under that pile of debris.

Roses and a sobering video

Roses for sale in bouquets in the CVS drug store the other day. I followed a fellow blogger and just took their photo. Free of course. And shareable.

I do wonder where they came from. Will have to look at the labels next time I go in there.

And this just came my way on Wed... interviews by NY Times, in Arkansas, where more than half the staff in the hospital don't want to be vaccinated...

Today's quote:

Tomorrow belongs to those of us who conceive of it as belonging to everyone; who lend the best of ourselves to it, and with joy.

  1. Hello,
The flowers are beautiful! It is sad so many people are refusing the vaccine, there will be so many variants that will be passed around. I hope they make the hospital staff get tested often. Take care, enjoy your day!

    1. I just finally bought some roses at the grocery store this morning. Whee! A treat for the bedside table, since the other bouquet is still going strong in the living/dining room. I know I met a hospital staffer who said she chose not to have vaccine...I think I asked her why, and it was this lame "I like to have choices." Excuse me, you can choose chocolate or strawberry, but this is a life/death decision.

  2. A very powerful video. And sobering as you said. There is no one in my circle that has not been vaccinated.

    1. Wish we could mark their foreheads that they might be carrying the Delta variant.

  5. I am so tired of these people. And while the numbers vary they seem to be everywhere.

    1. I wonder if they send each other emails and facebook messages that also support their views...I'm pretty sure they must, lots of reinforcement for how cruel they are being to the children of the world. Right!

  6. They are selfish idiots. There is nothing else that can be said about them. I'm so angry.

    1. Yes indeed. I just mentioned how they must reinforce that view in order to live with themselves. It's beyond me.

  7. I hate finding myself hoping some people will get very sick and even die, but here I am.

    1. I actually said something to that effect at a restaurant yesterday, and was shocked by how my friend reacted. I was more worried about the anti-vaxxers sitting at the next table...but hey, they've made their beds!

    1. Me too. It may swing the next election actually.

  9. Tragic. There is so much misinformation out there. On Saturday, ex-president D. T. tried to encourage people to get vaccinated and was booed.

I hope some of the talking heads who spread lies on the air get sued by sufferers.
