On the Road Again and bendy bodies

See below for my continuing contribution of old cars.

Enjoy hearing the latest song of resistance...

Sharing with Sepia Saturday!

Oh gymnastics!

Let me see which little granddaughters might have been doing such...before they all grew up!

Here's Kate in one of her Senior High School pictures. She and Audrey were both into cheer leading as well, while Caroline was on swim teams in high school.

Aloka and Most Respected Bhikkhu Pannakara

The recognition given to the Buddhist monks by Josh Stein, Governor of North Carolina. Though the monks walked for peace through several other state capitals, this was the first time they received welcome and recognition by a governor.

I have found that among its other benefits, giving liberates the soul of the giver.

    1. I kind of like a nomad life style...it's closer to nature in many ways. Yes the monks are walking, but I'm considering how they may take a break with this weekend's snow storm coming right where they are. I'll update you when I find out more..if the internet is still working. This morning it's kind of iffy.

    1. I remember the first car I sat in, on a little wood red chair (no sides, no seat belt) between my parents in the front seat of the car, which also had a running board.

  3. I so respect the monks walking the walk. And those early car enthusiasts certainly picnicked in style! That's more than I do for Thanksgiving.

    1. I may have been able to do summersaults, but never over a bar...way too scary for me. I admire these young women. I preferred bending with yoga.

    1. It's pretty amazing how a body can stretch and contort, isn't it?

  6. These days I feel like a champion gymnast if I can lean over and pick up something off the floor without difficulty.
I see that Glamping isn't exactly a new concept.

    1. I have found the biggest helping exercise I can do is squats...holding onto something often when I do them.
