Update about blog

The joy of waking to this view each morning is just so wonderful. Even if the camera sees all the distortions from the window screen, I easily ignore them. Many of these green trees stand near or by the Animas River which flows through the town.

Happy Hanukkah!


May we all be blessed by the miracle of light in this season.

Happy Hanukkah, begins today at sundown, 2023.


  The good thing about Hanukkah is that it lasts 8 days, like the lamp with only a day's worth of oil.  Every miracle should be celebrated.

      Watching the evening news it is certainly not peaceful for the Jews in the Middle East. And I read some people were putting lights in windows in solidarity with the Jews...but I think candles in windows are traditional, not always for that reason.
