Carol Long makes such swoopy decorations in her flowery pottery
You know how I love poppies...
While at the Pisgah Inn last week, I spied buttercups among the clover!
Mountain Laurel might have been a bit past its prime.
Coming back into Black Mountain the day lilies are beginning their sweet single-day lives.
And just a note to hope my blog friends have joy in your lives!

Beautiful collection of flowers! Love the quote! Take care, enjoy your day! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteSo the weekend begins. Much work to do around here! Hope you enjoy your walks and see lots of birds!
DeleteWe came across bright orange poppies yesterday. I expect that I will post tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteOh that is something I'll look forward to!
Delete...the spring flora of North Carolina is hard to beat!
ReplyDeleteI definitely have become enamored with spring after living here 19 years!
DeleteLovely flowers everywhere! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteTaking shots of flowers past their prime might be an interesting meme that I'll follow, someday. After all, I know what that feels and looks like, whenever I glance in a mirror!
DeleteThat quote punched me right in the gut.
ReplyDeleteYes.
I do hope you feel more joy in your life these days...and all of us! It's certainly a time for being challenged to deal with all the other stuff!
DeleteMy magnolia is blooming like crazy since the pecan tree that was shading it was heavily damaged by a hurricane two years ago and it gets a lot more sun now.
ReplyDeleteI haven't lived near magnolias, so don't know the joy that they offer.
DeletePoppies and magnolias are such beautiful flowers. And the scent of magnolias is intoxicating.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been able to enjoy the scent of magnolias...something I look forward to, the next time I run into some...these that I took photos of in the rain had no scent that I could discern.
DeleteYes, joy. We are releasing some squirrels today. I am happy for them.
ReplyDeleteThis is the best season, with flowers everywhere.
Lovely flowers!
