Update about blogCa

A small creek crosses under the Blue Ridge Parkway just as you approach the Tanbark Tunnel from the south. But if you pull over and park, you can see this little cascade on the opposite side of the Parkway before it goes under the road.

Rainy day at doctors office, but magnolias bloom on!




While at the Pisgah Inn last week, I spied buttercups among the clover! 


Mountain Laurel might have been a bit past its prime.

And so were the Rhododendrons!



Coming back into Black Mountain the day lilies are beginning their sweet single-day lives.


And just a note to hope my blog friends have joy in your lives!

      Taking shots of flowers past their prime might be an interesting meme that I'll follow, someday. After all, I know what that feels and looks like, whenever I glance in a mirror!

    My magnolia is blooming like crazy since the pecan tree that was shading it was heavily damaged by a hurricane two years ago and it gets a lot more sun now.

      I haven't been able to enjoy the scent of magnolias...something I look forward to, the next time I run into some...these that I took photos of in the rain had no scent that I could discern.
