Tree across the street

I love looking at this early colorful tree, but don't know what it is.

  It's the only one of its kind in the neighborhood.  Does anyone know what it is?



And most of you know what this early russet turning tree is, don't you?

 Yes, a Dogwood.

    That's a sourwood -- from whence cometh some of the best mountain honey.
