We got to Cortez CO

No idea who the cute baby was…

Checking into La Quinta in Santa Rosa, NM las night…while the fever raged. So I’m glad I took a photo before sleeping it off with a glorious night sweat (and tylenol and ibuprofen).

This day (Saturday) was long, but we got to my son’s home and have done most of the things ones does when you get home…

My son played with Zora, his Blue Tick Healer.

And his wife prepared a simple delicious meal we all enjoyed, after I had a short rest horizontally.

Now I need to return to that position, so will show you more of the trip with fantastic views soon.

  2. So glad the fever was overcome with Tylenol and rest. Toes crossed it was just one of those nuisance bugs and nothing more serious. I've been enjoying your cross country travels. When do you go to your new apartment?

  6. Peggy Lee "FEVER" came to mind reading this post!! Get as much sleep as possible! You will need all you can get traveling to the high spots of the earth! We are cheering you on! But not a loud sort of cheering, don't want to interfere with needed deep sleeping activity!!

  7. YES! I know you will feel so much better tomorrow! That is quite the road trip and you look marvelous despite the fever and other miserable stuff. Now you can catch your breath. What a jewel your son is. So glad you had safe travels. Tomorrow really is the first day of the rest of your life.
