While I celebrate (from a distance) the birthday of my oldest son, Marty, here are some musings...
There is no lake in the distance, rather fog caught in a low place. Once the sun comes over the mountains, it will dissapate.
And finally from Facebook:

MUHAMMAD ALI -------------------- Marty can fix lots of things...here in the 90s one of my computers. I've been so lucky to have super skilled loving sons. Marty has helped me with everything imaginable. It's hard to believe he's going to be a grandfather this year! |

Hello,
ReplyDeleteGreat thoughts and images. It is wonderful to have a son who is so handy and helpful. Take care, have a great day!
I am grateful to have such a talented son! Have a wonderful Thursday!
Delete...Donald Duck sums me up well! Our son is the go to computer guy.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good picture of my house, only no ducks here. Though with all the recent rain... So glad that we have tech savvy offspring!
DeleteHappy Borthday to Marty. /AC
ReplyDeleteInteresting that you became anony-mouse today, AC! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteAh sons........I know I could not be living the way I do if it were not for my son's willingness to live with me. of course he gets bennies too!
ReplyDeleteLove the Donald Duck......I comfort my self with cleaning make a mess that has to get worse before it get better.......I hope.........toes crossed🤭
I don't often get things at the really improved state, rather at the more messy one! Yes, having sons nearby is wonderful...but I am still waiting to move closer to one of mine!
DeleteAnd the Donald Duck cartoon illustrates perfectly why I am loathe to start a large cleaning or organization project. It just leads to more chaos and (in my case) being overwhelmed.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to that soon to be grandfather who is your son. How in the world can time fly like it does?
The last time I went through some tubs of stuff with a friend (and gave her a lot of things!) I proceeded to come down with pneumonia that night. They (doctors) tell me I was already sick, but I still have the connection in my mind, clean and get very sick!
DeleteMy son is my computer go to after I've tried everything I know. And after I gave him my scanner and printer because his need was greater than mine. The occasional scan and print job isn't a trouble to him.
ReplyDeleteIt's great to have others to take care of tech challenges. All three of my sons are much more adept than me, as well as my daughters-in-law, and certainly all my grandchildren. They were raised with portable phones, and think texting is the best way to communicate, including when sitting at the same table for a meal. It's been great to be of the generation which started out life with just radios for entertainment!
DeleteI started this year thinking I'd try to go through one drawer or one binder of old papers per week. Week 22 now and I've emptied two binders...
ReplyDeleteI have a whole lot of papers that still need to be filed – but the good news is I’ve already looked at all of them when trying to find something the other day. Before filing at least half of them can be thrown away. Gosh, the years half over, almost!
