Fighting climate change from space

Vital Signs (from the Environmental Defense Fund) published an article at the end of January.

Some of it is future-talk, which I skim over as a possibility which might already have happened, given the date of the article. Am I really learning anything here?

And then there are the real catches to the topic presented here.

Welcome to the Future: Five Ways the World is fighting Climate Change from Space.

Today's quote:

The unknown is where possibility glitters.

MICHELLE OBAMA

    1. I agree, Eileen. Yes, a good quote. I think using satellite technology will help a lot in disaster relief, as well as monitoring various agricultural practices. Maybe it's already happening.

  3. Hi Barbara, Very interesting article. What we really need is the will of the people and their governments...not just in the US and Europe...but everywhere to be part of the solution. Facing war, starvation, poverty and a lack of education, it is hard for millions if not billions of folks to focus on saving the planet from climate change. On another topic... Per your comment, if I had a yacht I'd be perfectly happy to be limited to waterways. From Knoxville one can take a yacht to Minneapolis, Chicago and the Great Lakes, Lake Champlain, both the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers and of course, America's intracoastal waterway. My wife would never let us be out of sight of land for very long...that's for sure. So, I continue to dream... Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
