No It's not Raining!

Le Bistro has finished off its patio with a pretty floor, and is working to add something more to the new enclosing walls.

They have since added nice capstones on the wall, thus making it ideal for sitting upon.

On a slightly chilly lunch day, we sat on the porch beside a brazier which provided a little warmth while there was a breeze off the terrace. My huge serving of hot turkey was unfortunately unable to stay warm, but I took more than half of it home.

Today's Quote:

I am now quite cured of seeking pleasure in society, be it country or town. A sensible man ought to find sufficient company in himself.

-Emily Bronte, novelist (30 Jul 1818-1848)

    1. Wonderful food, well prepared and served. My friend's salad yielded two meals also, and didn't get cold like my turkey did. I'm stretching eating outdoors, and at one restaurant recently, I was so cold we ate inside. So far have no Covid symptoms from it, but I am going to wait a while before I do so again. It's a bit pricy at that restaurant depicted.

  3. Drove by a patio one cool day and Wayne red when the first lunchers would be out. Turned out to be the next day. But there were overhead heaters. I can wait.

  5. That is beautiful floor! I wouldn't mind that in my house. It looks vaguely European.

    1. I think they did a very good job. The restaurant didn't close at all while they were doing it either!

  7. Barbara, What a great setting for a nice lunch! As for the leftovers, I'm a real fan. Very little goes to waste in our home despite the fact that my better half doesn't really care for most left over food. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

    1. Thanks Dave...I have enjoyed some great groups of friends there for lunch in summers past. And I usually do have a "doggy bag."

  8. Such an attractive place to lunch. It's been cold here but we still sit outside, much safer!

    1. I ended up being too cold outside last week, so we ate in a corner inside. It was nice though we kind of cringed away from others.

  10. Interesting quote from Emily Bronte! Sometimes I think I am quite contented by myself but then I catch myself talking to a fly!
