this is the rhythym
given me now
a metronome

the plastic tassle
at the bottom of the string
hitting the table edge

easy and annoying
if I let it
in it's continuation

why does this happen?
the click tick
that doesn't ever slow?

a stretch and return
on and on
like a quick wave

the blinds above
moving slowly
back and forth

it's the heat
from the heater
at the bottom
of the wall

rising through
the sails
of the blinds

back and forth
and click
and then tick

with no sound
when the tassle
moves on the wall side

then returns to
table edge
again and again

as the room
warms up to
the day
