I'm now listening to this book. It takes place in nearby Henderson County NC. It's read by a black woman, and is about a family through several generations (I think it's fiction.)

      Yet it's interesting to ponder how in nature, the males of the bird species are the ones who have the decorative looks and dance to attract their mates.
