On a grey day this dogwood showed signs of buds about to bloom. This was the day before 84 degree temperatures...perhaps that pushed them open!
Nobody I know, just wanted to show the fireplace!
I'm helping spring along. Some grocery store flowers sit on my table next to the machine which has a vest to vibrate my lungs to help me breathe.

It's lovely when buds start to appear, as tiny as they are they seem to bring colour and a freshness to a winter palette

The restaurant was nice, and the food delicious. Prices were out of sight however. I refused the coffee once I asked the waitress the cost, $3.59 a cup. I remember when it was a dime. Well, no, not actually, because I didn't drink coffee yet then. But still, I draw the line at 2.50. I can get an Americano at my local coffee shop for that price!

ReplyDeleteA nice solid fireplace. I like cafés that serve an all day breakfast menu..sometimes that is all you need. Probably you need a bigger kitchen to provide a wider choice though.

Yay to air, and rain has it's place in the scheme of things. Our current drought means we need some, and with the low humidity these days (which I love!) there's wild-fire danger here. I can breathe so much easier when it's dry!

DeleteSpring is finally in the air! You are a few weeks ahead of us so I look to your pots as things to look forward to here is the still chilly north. But the daffodils are budding, so there is that!
ReplyDeleteOur yo-yo spring here meant the first daffies died back with freezes a few nights, and you can see the sad pansies too. But we may have a few warm days this week. I'm keeping an eye out for blooms. Missed the weeping cherries, they all have gone to leaf buds now.
DeleteThe spring blossoms are so fleeting, what with frosts and sudden heat. Beautiful when you catch them. Drier air suits you? Colorado can provide that, if you can handle the elevation. Let's hope.

ReplyDeleteIm doing it daily now for 15 minutes. It’s a size small so is maybe not geared for my shape. But it does shake things loose. So I’ll keep doing it.

Snow dust is part of spring but not here lately. Just figuring out what coat to wear is a trick!

ReplyDeleteI tried purchasing some daffodils in the grocery, but they didn't last any longer than the ones out in the sudden cold. Oh well...yes indeed, spring is chugging along!
