Dad has been gone for 28 years now, but I still laugh and have conversations with him when something I see or hear strikes a chord. I'm glad your Dad was so special to you too. The 'slipped' $20. reminds me of the time my Dad, realizing I was trying to shed a few pounds, for Valentine's Day, gave me heart-shaped box filled not with chocolates, but with a T-bone steak. That was my Dad! :) La Nightingailhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04769079547153094005noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6834515962367699133.post-87854910069765028712013-11-10T21:27:20.601-05:002013-11-10T21:27:20.601-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.Barbara Rogershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08351113054045427775noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6834515962367699133.post-9048513122604831192013-11-10T21:27:19.560-05:002013-11-10T21:27:19.560-05:00It's great that you all have taken time to com...It's great that you all have taken time to comment on my post. My dad was always the one to send a little money when I was away at college. I lost my own dad just one year ago this month and I miss him a lot. How lovely that you have some good memories of yours, as well as the pictures.Little Nellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11862657943846727987noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6834515962367699133.post-11447148632391203102013-11-09T10:59:28.907-05:002013-11-09T10:59:28.907-05:00Awhhhh, what a lovely story about your daddy and h...Awhhhh, what a lovely story about your daddy and his life, their marriage adventure, (that newspaper clipping) is priceless. I also miss my own father, but oh the memories we keep to warm our hearts anytime we desire! Wonderful. I had to laugh at the don't tell your mother, as it's funny how we often do things as such, and even funnier when both do it at the same time, thinking they are the only one!21 Witshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00071361755673253230noreply@blogger.com
