Made me feel like a dinosaur. I wonder if the whip makers diversified into belts and other leather sundries like hat trims. It hasn't put modern day road hauliers out of business though, and what we call semi-trailers still rule our country roads.Jofeathhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10290597697140624780noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6834515962367699133.post-61406052344572079772014-10-10T12:34:12.391-04:002014-10-10T12:34:12.391-04:00Horse-drawn vehicles seem so romantic now, but the...Horse-drawn vehicles seem so romantic now, but they must have been uncomfortable and dirty when they were a necessity.Postcardyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16399915833682943432noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6834515962367699133.post-48640390567538562802014-10-10T11:12:39.507-04:002014-10-10T11:12:39.507-04:00A thoughtful and unusual take on this week’s theme...A thoughtful and unusual take on this week’s theme. In college my husband had to take a key-punch operations class for his degree; for my teaching degree I had to take a course that taught how to use a film projector, overhead projector, movie projector, and mimeograph machine. Very few of the former remain & there are far fewer of the latter - all because of cell phones! Or how about typewriter manufacturers? When I first went to work I was classified as a "clerk-typist". I don't think the term even exists anymore.La Nightingailhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04769079547153094005noreply@blogger.com
